Each new middle school student and faculty member receives a cross as a reminder of the faith that will guide them throughout their years at Grace. On graduation day, our Gators will receive that same cross again, a full circle moment honoring not only how far they have come, but the faith they will carry long after they leave us.

Some Grace School traditions are more than traditions. They are moments our Gators carry with them.

At our annual KinderGator Welcome Chapel, our fifth grade students proudly welcomed their Kindergarten Bible Buddies and presented each of them with a Bible that will travel with them throughout their years at Grace.

It is the beginning of a special cross-age relationship, giving our young Gators someone to look up to and our oldest Lower School students an opportunity to lead, serve and encourage.

And someday, these KinderGators will become the fifth graders welcoming the next generation.

That’s the beauty of tradition. It connects our Gators across generations and reminds them that they are part of something bigger than themselves.

There’s only one way to experience a sixth grade camp trip at Camp Cho-Yeh… through their lens. 📸

We sent our Gators off with an old school @campsnapcamera and let them capture Camp Cho-Yeh exactly as they experienced it. The big moments, the little moments, the laughter, the adventures and everything in between.

We’re continuing our “Day in the Life” mini-series by stepping into Lower School!

In Lower School, the hands-on learning continues, but the learning grows right alongside our students. As they become more independent, curious, and confident, the academic rigor begins to pick up in ways that challenge them to think deeper, ask questions, solve problems, and discover what they’re capable of.

Today, we’re seeing Lower School through two different perspectives: a first grade Gator and a fifth grade Gator. While their days may look a little different, the heart of the Grace School experience remains the same. Learning is active. Teachers know their students. Classrooms are filled with collaboration, creativity, and meaningful opportunities to put learning into action.

It’s a glimpse at how much our Gators grow during these years, not just academically, but as thinkers, friends, leaders, and confident young people.

Because Lower School isn’t about leaving hands-on learning behind. It’s about building on that foundation and giving students more opportunities to take ownership of their learning.

Next week, we’re heading into Middle School, where the journey continues!
